i am a one woman show
Thank you for supporting an independent maker - you are making the world a better place.
please know i am a one woman show and shipping maestro is just one of my (many) hats.
i am doing my very bestest to make, pack and ship your orders on time, answer emails and butter up the people at my local post office to be gentle with my packages, but i am not amazon. sorry, not sorry.
SHIPPING TAKES TIME
the postal system has been under immense pressure, so please allow at least a week for your item to arrive - and be kind to your postperson.
check your inbox
make sure that the email address you provide is correct.
you will receive a shipping confirmation as soon as i have shipped your order.
this might be a day or two after you have ordered (see also: i am a one woman show)
no tracking
i do not offer tracking on any orders, as the cost of this is too high for the price of my products.
however, if you need your order tracked, please contact me as soon as you have placed your order and i can sort this out for you. please note, tracking starts at £5 for small items.
missing order
please check that the address you provided for your order is correct. ask your neighbours if they have your parcel, and check if your postperson has left you a note. if your order has not arrived 7 working days after you have received a shipping confirmation (see above), please contact me with your order number and your address.
OUT OF STOCK
should you find an item out of stock, pop over to the stockists page and find a local or online shop that sells Studio Janneke - you’ll likely find a whole bunch of lovely goods and you’ll be supporting other independent makers. why not check jamii for brilliant black-owned brands?
international shipping
Because of Brexit, Covid and the world generally being on fire, international shipping has become increasingly slow, unreliable and expensive. As an independent maker, I rely on the same postal services as everyone else - and run into the same frustrations. This is why i have not offered international shipping for a while.
To the lovely folks outside of the UK who have asked about international shipping, please be aware of the following:
I cannot guarantee that your order arrives as I have absolutely zero clout with Royal Mail
I can’t provide proof of postage for all deliveries, as some go straight in a mailbox
No refunds unless your order miraculously makes it back to me - then, refund minus postage
Be aware of customs fees and import taxes in your country
It will be slow and there is no tracking as I am using Royal Mail’s International Standard
You are responsible for providing the correct address, in the correct formatting for your country
Well, that sure sounds like an appealing option, doesn’t it? I am not trying to scare you off, but I think transparency is important. I will do my absolute best when it comes to packaging, addressing, postage and special forms, but after that it’s in the hands of Royal Mail and their delivery partners. At that point, there is simply nothing I can do. Please be aware of this if you decide to try international shipping.
